Bissara (Split Pea & Fava Bean Dip)
A creamy Moroccan dip of split peas and fava beans finished with olive oil and paprika. Often served for breakfast.
Ingredients

- 100 mlOlive oil
- 1 tspSalt
- 800 mlWater
- 1 tspPaprika
- 4Garlic cloves
- 200 gDried split peas
- 200 gDried fava beans
- 1Onion, diced
- 1 tspCumin
Instructions
Soak peas and beans overnight. Drain. Cook with onion, garlic, spices, water until very tender 25-30 min. Blend until smooth. Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle paprika. Serve warm with bread for dipping.
