  • 1 cupred lentils
  • 1 canschickpeas
  • 800 gcrushed tomatoes
  • 3celery stalks
  • 1 tbspfresh parsley
  • 1 tbspfresh cilantro
  • 0.5 tspground cinnamon
  • 3 tbsplemon juice

Instructions

  1. Sauté diced celery in oil until softened. Add tomatoes, lentils, spices, and 6 cups water.

  2. Simmer 25 minutes, then blend partially for a silky texture.

  3. Stir in drained chickpeas and chopped herbs; cook 5 minutes more.

  4. Finish with lemon juice and serve with dates or chebakia pastries.
